Visit the Life Mosaic site of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

On Sunday, June 1st, I invite you to be a part of my journey as I run the Suzuki Rock 'N' Roll Marathon in San Diego to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through a program called Team in Training.  I have been working for this incredible organization for over two years now and it has truly impacted my life.

I have always been passionate about working with cancer patients or in some type of cancer organization.

One of the questions people always asked me was, "Doesn't it depress you being in that environment every day?"

My answer to everyone has always been quite the opposite... "Truthfully, it inspires me."

I am asking you to support my personal fundraising efforts in support of our mission to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma.

My goal by June 1st is to raise $5,000! No donation is too small. By supporting my efforts, you are doing something incredibly special that means so much not only to me, but also to anyone whose life has been touched by cancer.

One of the many people whose lives you are touching is Gabe Axe. Although I have never met Gabe before, his story has been an inspiration to me. His battle with leukemia and the incredible support of family, friends & strangers is proof that the money we raise is making a difference. Click to read about Gabe's story.

So in closing, I invite you again to be a part of my 26.2-mile marathon journey by supporting my cause and the cause of the thousands of people who battle cancer every day.

The Suzuki Rock N Roll Marathon starts in historic Balboa Park, dashesthrough Hillcrest, skirts the World Famous San Diego Zoo, runs through the downtown Gaslamp District, travels up Highway 163 (voted America’s most scenic urban highway), races by Sea World, sprints around San Diego beach and bay communities and finishes at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Point Loma.
