The Ride in Images
From the Golden Gate to the Brooklyn Bridge
On June 2, 2002 Debbie Bennett, her husband Brian Bennett, and her father Teymoor Gedayloo embarked on a cross-country bicycle trip from the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco to the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City to raise money for Leukemia research.

Their goal is to raise $40,000 by the time they end their journey in New York City on July 27th. The money will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in memory of their family members Suzan Gedayloo and Marilyn Bennett who lost their battles against Leukemia.

The New York City chapter of Team-in-Training proudly supported the California Riders as they reached the Big Apple.

Team in Training

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the fastest-growing voluntary health organization with a nationwide presence. The Society's mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Since its founding in 1949, the Society has provided more than $240 million for research specifically targeting blood-related cancers. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training®  is the world's largest endurance sports training program. TNT provides coaching, training and even the travel opportunities to make your athletic goals a reality. In exchange for the training and support, participants raise money toward a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood-related cancers. Axe Out Leukemia is a fundraising effort in honor of Gabe Axe.  All contributions go directly to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to support their programs.  Gabe was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia ("ALL") in July 2000 while a high schooler in Greenwich, Connecticut.  Learn more about Gabe.
